Brazilian copper producer Paranapanema expects relatively stable copper prices and treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) during the fourth quarter compared with the July-September period, chief executive officer Marcos Camara told Fastmarkets MB on Friday October 26. The company estimates the London Metal Exchange three-month copper price to range $6,000-6,500 per tonne until year-end. TC/RCs, the premium paid to process primary copper, should hover around $85-90 per tonne levels, the executive added. LME three-month contract prices were at $6,125-6,130 per tonne on Friday, down by 1.1% from $6,195-6,200 per tonne the previous day. Fastmarkets’ twice-monthly TC index for the Asia Pacific region was at $89 per dry metric tonne.
