LME Basic Seminar:
Introduction to the London Metal Exchange

The course provides comprehensive knowledge of the structure, functioning and services of the London Metal Exchange (LME), which traders responsible for the purchase or sales of non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals and scrap should master. All key functions of the LME (pricing, warehousing and hedging) are explaing in all details.

Through various practical examples of metal trades, it is shown and explained how to properly use LME prices and how to offset negative price movements through hedging strateges. The latest topics, such as the future of the ring trade, the impact of the nickel short squeeze on the LME nickel future contract or the impact of the sanctions against Russia are discussed in detail. In addition, a broker gives a market outlook based on the latest market analyses.
